Smile, it’s a tree! – Peter

If you’re in NYC then it might be worth going to visit the new Guggenheim pop-up lab.  They are trying to find out ‘map out the emotional landscape of public space’ by getting residents to participate in research.  They have an interesting  methodology too – in order to gauge someone’s emotional response to stimuli they choose a representative image of a mannequin’s facial expression or body language.  If only they’d met FaceTrace(R) and Tracey before starting!  The aim of the project is to inspire urban design, after New York it’s going on tour to nine cities.  Sounds fascinating!
